Practice Nurse Services
Our practice nurse is available by appointment for blood pressure checks, ear syringing, dressing of ulcers and injuries, removal of stitches, family planning, cervical smears, new registration medicals, smoking cessation and asthma management.
Dr Sivakumar is able to advise you and give treatment if appropriate.
Certain services such as private sick notes, private medical insurance forms and holiday cancellation forms, are not covered by the NHS and charges are made in line with the British Medical Association. Please ask at reception for an up-to-date price list. We need seven working days for the completion of any forms, reports, letters or photocopies. Please note we do not sign passport applications forms.
You must see your GP before making an appointment with a Consultant. We can only sign claim forms if your GP has initiated the referral. There is no fee for a private referral, but a fee will be charged if you need your health insurance claim form signed.
We do not automatically convert private prescriptions to NHS ones and we only do so when we have referred to the consultant and have received a full report from them. A referral does not mean we are under any obligation to follow the consultant’s advice. In addition, the medication prescribed must meet the approval of the pharmaceutical advisory committee of the Haringey Primary Care Trust.
