Other Services
Private Referrals
You must see your GP before making an appointment with a Consultant. We can only sign claim forms if your GP has initiated the referral. There is no fee for a private referral, but a fee will be charged if you need your health insurance claim form signed.
Private Prescriptions
We do not automatically convert private prescriptions to NHS ones and we only do so when we have referred to the consultant and have received a full report from them. A referral does not mean we are under any obligation to follow the consultant’s advice. In addition, the medication prescribed must meet the approval of the pharmaceutical advisory committee of the Haringey Primary Care Trust.
